The Danes have good experiences with international labour. And they would like things to be easier for the companies to acquire especially specialists, researchers and nursing aides from abroad, shows a new survey.
A large majority of Danes believe that the Danish society ought to make a special effort to persuade more, especially highly educated, specialists, skilful researchers and considerate nursing aides to the country. Only one out of ten Danes does not think that Denmark should attract international labour.
This appears in a survey which Zapera has made for the business organisation Dansk Erhverv, writes Berlingske Business.
According to the survey more than every third Dane thinks that it ought to be easier for Danish companies to appoint international labour. Approximately 40 per cent think that the present possibilities are good whereas only 16 per cent think that it should be more difficult.
The survey also shows that every second Dane today has personal experience with international labour. And of this half over 50 per cent describes the experiences as positive whereas only 15 per cent call them negative.
The Danish government last November submitted a new job plan which with initiatives such as better access to job card and green card, increased marketing of Denmark as a work country as well as a better research arrangement are to ease access to Denmark.
The result is welcomed within trade and business and among employees.
