LYNGBY-TAARBÆK

Lyngby-Taarbæk is a privileged municipality characterised by beautiful countryside, attractive housing, dynamic business development and a rich cultural life.

Recently named "Most Creative Municipality in Denmark", Lyngby-Taarbæk has the highest number of creative workplaces and inhabitants who work as creative professionals. We use our position to grow by attracting new creative businesses and creative professionals. The municipality has approximately 32,000 workplaces.

The municipality is the retail centre of the affluent region north of Copenhagen. Shopping opportunities in the area include shopping centres and numerous specialist shops. Attractive green housing areas with villas, town housing and apartment complexes form the excellent living conditions of the 52,000 residents.

Education is a high priority and Lyngby is one of Denmark's major educational towns. The municipality has a particularly high concentration of consultancy companies, engineering-based industries and head offices.

The Technical University of Denmark and Lyngby Business Academy, which have more than 17,000 students enrolled, make the area a centre of technological research and education.
